my spring break has been so lazy. honestly, it's like sleep in, wake up, go online, go to rehearsal, come back and stay up late, sleep. repeat process. i need to be more active. i always feel pretty crummy about myself when i get into lazy patterns like these.

lately i've been way too addicted to facebook surveys. it's pretty bad! i've actually done more than i've posted, it's just that i'll do them and get half way through and decide the questions are really stupid or my answers are boring and uninteresting so i'll stop and i'll never finish it. pretty much the only upside to them is they occupy my time and distract my mind from other things... which is good, i guess. i am making a valiant attempt here!

where is everyone? i know you're at disney, kristen, and you're in the mountains mer. but where is everyone else? i want to do stuff during the day with someone before evening rehearsals instead of being lazy. speaking of rehearsals, we open friday... ahh!! i can't believe it's already here! we did pretty much full costumes and tech and orchestra and whatnot yesterday. it's really coming together. i hope everyone likes the show!

i still haven't started learning midsummer lines or studying for ap euro like i said i would. i need to get on that. flibberdigibbit.

i will never for the life of me understand people who initiate a conversation with you or ask you a question and then when you answer they don't respond. it's like REALLY? why even bother in the first place?! it is so annoying.

anyways!

spring break 09, yaaay. i'm not really doing much outside of sleeping late and going to SOM rehearsals every night, but i'm okay with that. i just need some nice r&r time! i should study for ap euro some too and learn my midsummer lines. blah.

today has been very rainy. the lakes are overflowing.

you can cook dinner and i'll bake dessert. what could be better?

    I was just thinking... There's definitely something to be said for the power that we have as individuals to have an impact on others. I mean, we always think of "making an impact" as something really big, or something dynamic, but sometimes we forget just how influential we can be with our everyday actions.

    You never know when you're making a lasting impression on someone with the words you say or the things you do. And I'm not exaggerating when I say that; you literally never know!! The smallest things have the potential to be so significant. Something you say in passing can make or break someone's entire day - life, even. You seriously never know if those words you say will replay in someone's mind day after day, bringing them complete and utter joy or changing the way they view themselves. A simple smile or "hello" could completely lift someone's spirits; a derisive comment that you didn't think twice about could demolish their self-esteem.

    It's a powerful thing... a very powerful thing.

one thing I've learned.

every event, every happening, every situation -- no matter what it is, it has a catalyst.

if you want things to change, you need to change the source of the problem.
using the same formula and expecting a different chemical reaction is stupid.
science doesn't work that way. neither does life.

it's just not gonna happen.

every sentence is about a different person...and you shouldn't lose too much sleep over trying to figure out who each one is about. you would never really be able to. and I don't intend on saying anything about any of them. :d
